Shohei Koide

The Koide group has extensive experience in studying and engineering protein-protein interactions. Dr. Koide established the use of nonimmunological protein scaffolds as antibody alternatives. The group’s expertise includes design, construction and selection of combinatorial protein libraries and structural biology using NMR spectroscopy and x-ray crystallography. Together with Dr. Kossiakoff and Dr. Sachdev Sidhu (Genentech), Dr. Koide has established the “chaperone-assisted crystallography” technique. Dr. Koide will direct the Synthetic Antigen Binder generation and Crystallography Core and join in collaborations with other Consortium investigators.
